Clean Yield
Socially Responsible Investing

Our Services:

Portfolio management with Clean Yield Asset Management offers several advantages:

We will work closely with you to help accomplish your personal financial goals.
*

You own all the securities in your portfolio. Our job is to apply our research and experience to trade your securities wisely on your behalf.

*

You will receive financial reporting from us quarterly. When we make trades in your portfolio, the broker or bank holding your securities will send you prompt notification.

*

We can stay as closely in touch with you as you wish, because we strictly limit the number of clients served by each manager.

*

You'll receive The Clean Yield each quarter. This client-oriented publication is the successor to our stock-market publication of the same name which was published as subscription newsletter for 14 years through 1998.

Your portfolio will be aligned with your social values.
*

Our proprietary corporate research enables us to track a broad range of social and environmental responsibility issues.

*

We maintain a comprehensive set of social screens that we apply to all accounts.

*

If you have additional areas of ethical interest or concern, we can often add your criteria to our research and tailor your portfolio accordingly. (We will be frank if we can't.)

You can put your investments to work for a better society.
*

We can help you find suitable "high social impact" community investments, such as a loan to a regional revolving fund for affordable housing. (These direct investments, typically either below-market-rate or high-risk, are not counted in calculating your management fee.)

*

You vote your own shares in the companies in your portfolio. We'll alert you to key stockholder proposals so that your can bring to bear the unique impact of proxy voting on corporate management.

*

You can submit your own proxy resolutions. We'll facilitate  the process by helping you develop the written proposal and by handling the requisite correspondence. We'll also ensure your resolution is filed with allied proxy initiatives for maximum impact.

From 1984 through 1998, we published The Clean Yield, a national stock market newsletter for social investors. An index of company profiles is available upon request. Back issues of the newsletter are $5 each, and can be ordered by contacting our office.
