On September 12, 2017, Clean Yield Asset Management was recognized for creating extraordinary positive impact as a business, based on an independent, comprehensive assessment administered by the nonprofit B Lab. Clean Yield was named to the Best for the World Overall list, which includes businesses that earned scores in the top 10 percent of more than 2,100 Certified B Corporations across all categories on the B Impact Assessment. Clean Yield was also named to the Best for Customers, Best for Workers, and Changemakers lists. The assessments measure a company’s positive impact on its workers, community, customers, and the environment. The 176 Best for the World Overall honoree companies come from 75 different industries and 25 countries.
This recognition builds on past awards and further demonstrates Clean Yield’s continued efforts to be a force for good. In 2016, Clean Yield was honored as one of B Corp’s “Best for the World Overall” and in 2014 and 2015 was named “Best for Workers.”
“We have worked hard to be a company devoted to working for the good of the world and are proud to find ourselves in the company of like-minded businesses on the list, such as Dr. Bronner’s and Patagonia. We look forward to continuing to further our own practices and engaging with the growing B Corp community,” said Elizabeth Glenshaw, Clean Yield President and Partner.
“Companies like Clean Yield exemplify what it means for a business to be a good citizen,” says Jay Coen Gilbert, co-founder of B Lab. “We’re proud to recognize their achievement. Best for the World is the only list of businesses making the greatest positive impact that uses comprehensive, comparable, third-party-validated data about a company’s social and environmental performance.”B Corp, Best for the World
