On August 9, Clean Yield’s Director of Social Research & Shareholder Advocacy, Shelley Alpern, will deliver one of four keynote addresses at the “Our Children, Climate and Faith” conference in Strafford, Vermont. Other speakers at the 2-day gathering include Jay O’Hara, who participated in the “Lobsterboat Blockade” of a coal freighter at Brayton Point power station in Massachusetts; Robert Jensen, a professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and the author of Arguing for Our Lives: A User’s Guide to Constructive Dialogue; and Tré Cates, Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer for the Savory Institute.

Shelley’s talk will be “How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Embrace the Fossil Fuel Divestment Movement.”
